Exonion Media:
Firstly, the ZOO would like to thank all
the media for the fantastic support that they have given to
MPZOO and our products. It is only with the support of the
media that we have come this far.
Right now we are trying our best to keep up with the coverage
that the Exonion has been receiving, so if we have missed
out on any reviews please write
in and tell us.
It would seem at this stage that the Exonion is one of the,
if not the most awarded MP3 Player in the market today. Are
we satisfied at leaving it at that? No, there will be more
goodies arriving. If you would like to stay tuned to MPZOO
please do so by joining our free
membership that will update you on new products as they arrive.
For product images and logos please email
us so that we may help you further.

The best sounding CD player
- Comprehensive display
- Simple user interface
...
"Operating the Exonion is simple progressing through the menus via
the direction keys on the body of the unit."
... "The display is one of the busiest when playing, showing
title, artist, genre, folder and playlist.." "Also available
is the option to select tracks that will display a screen full of
track names in order."
... "MP3-CD Players are not all the same in sound."
For some reason there is a balance in the Exonion that the others
lack and the equaliser settings are appropriate for the music styles.

"In the portable category,
it was a simple decision. The Exonion from MPZOO is a clear winner.
The combination of ease of use, good earphones, and FIF make it the
clear winner." ".... the Exonion is the way to go. With blank CD media
costs down to about 50 cents each, the Exonion is portable, easy to
use, has good earphones and is relatively inexpensive. The FIF feature
is a real bonus!...." |

".....The
benefit of being able to carry the equivalent of a 10 CD stacker with
you comes with its own problems - searching. By utilising a large
display area, the (back-lit) LCD screen displays the current song
title and artist when playing MP3 files. Just like your PC's MP3 player,
the Exonion can create a play list based on artist or genre and it
even allows you to do this while a track is playing!...." |

“..A
feature-rich personal MP3 and CD player of excellent quality.”....
“The Exonion performed well, building a database of the CD's contents
in just a few seconds before it was ready to go. The graphic equaliser
and bass functions worked well and the maximum volume exceeds what
most users should find ample.”....“I was able to shake the unit silly
without a single skip.” |

"...The
FIF one is of the key features to the Exonion, and makes searching
for songs child's play. In fact, it places the the Exonion in a totally
different category than the other players. Without hesitation, I give

Tech Review - 2001. |
 |
...“We
are witnessing a true next generation MP3 player. Gone are the days
of buggy firmware, substandard audio playback and frequent skipping.
This player promises to deliver and meets our expectations with flying
colours. The inclusion of an LCD screen, FIF support, remote and 8mb
ESP really show how far MP3 technology has come and puts some of the
competitors to shame. If you're in the market for an MP3 player at
present you really can't go past the Exonion.....” |

Audio Review - 2001. |
 |
..."The
sound quality of the unit is one of the best when compared with other
portable units around. Listening to the CD's that I made was a pure
pleasure even when I played the mp3 CD that I made with its software.
The audio CD section sounded smooth, detailed, transparent and spacious.
Very few units will offer you this combination."...
..."I was and still am extremely impressed with the features
and sound quality of the Exonion from MPZOO and I would recommend
it without hesitation to anyone who's interested in buying a portable
device."... |

"MP3
players have been with us for some time, and MPZOO have always been
on the cutting edge of this funky technology. When MPZOO released
their first CD based MP3 player, I was, like Big Kev, excited!! It
was the perfect mix of the 'old style' CD and the 'new' MP3. Up to
12 hours of music on a single CD! As many CDs with hours of music
as I wanted. But then MPZOO introduced the Exonion, and I was blown
away. It left all other MP3 CD players for dead! The Exonion has it
all - full 4-line blue backlit graphical screen, an amazing 8 minutes
of anti-skip for MP3 music, a remote control, full playlist functionality
(pre-set or on-the-fly), 8-bit to 320-bit and VBR compatibility, CD/R
and CD/RW compatibility, AA batteries that are included and rechargeables
at that and it even plays regular CDs! The feature list goes on and
on! It really is the best MP3 CD Player on the market today, and the
price is more than competitive against regular 'flash memory' based
MP3 players that only store one hour of music at 128k. Why stuff around
with your computer slowly downloading to your MP3 player when you
want new music? Just burn a new CD with hours of music and off you
go. As I was saying, for my money it's the best MP3 player in Australia."

"...
With a sexy silver cyber style design, this player looks good and
sounds good. It has a full 4-line blue backlit graphical screen, displaying
full track titles, encoding levels, bass levels, track times, battery
life and more. Being a graphical display, it looks more like a mobile
phone screen than the simple LCD watch style displays on other units.
Most other CD players have a 40 sec anti-skip buffer. The Exonion
has a remarkable 8 minutes of anti-skip for MP3 tracks as well ..."
"... Finally, the unit also comes with a tape adaptor, so you
can listen to your favourite tracks skip free when you drive around.
It retails for $499 (inc GST), and for the money, it's the best mp3
player around! ..." |

"... We have been waiting for a long time for an alternative and finally
we've found one the Exonion...."
"... Unlike most of its competitors, it feels substantial and
robust, is well presented with a car cassette adapter, has software
that allows you to rip CD tracks and encode them and burn them to
CD, has a simple but sophisticated directory system and a four-line
LCD display..." |

"...In
our humble opinion, MP3 CDs are the music medium of the future. You
can put hours of music onto a single CD, so that you're not constantly
crushing jewel cases or losing them. You can virtually do away with
the cassette tape for your audio books, conference sessions and spoken
voice recordings..."
"...Its 8MB buffer gives you an incredible eight minutes of anti-skip
on a 128kbps-encoded MP3 file, and 48 seconds on CD audio. It's
quite diverting, when you're playing an MP3 track, to watch the CD
actually stop spinning while the music continues..."
"...
this is the first MP3CD player we've seen that's actually worth buying..."
"... a hypnotic voice keeps insisting that we reach for our credit
card..."

Soundly
edging toward paranoia
"...Bleeding Edge has been playing a lot of soothing music
to try to keep his mental equilibrium. Alas, despite this, we seem
to have been effected by the indiscriminate angst. We were playing
a little Mozart the other night, when it suddenly occurred to us that
perhaps the suply of soothing music might dry up. What would be do,
we wondered, if there were an outbreak in CD robbery and we were left
without any Mozart? Since then, we have been hastiyl transferring
all our CDs to MP3 files. We have already bought the Exonion MP3 Cd
player (www.mpzoo.com), which allows us to squeeze 10 hours of music
on a single CD...."
