Sony lays over!
Well,
it seems that Sony 'is' pro-mp3. Ron Boire's (president of
Sony Electronics' Personal Mobile Products company) comment
'..we had to do it.' is quite an about-face from it's stance
against the MP3 movement. Sony's new venture into the MP3
CD market has not pleased all within the company spread but
we will be seeing a Sony MP3 CD solution soon it seems. There
seems to be NO information available on the www.sony.com site
at this point so if someone finds some details please let
us know.

Mushroom Group in retaliation to Festival Mushroom Group granting
sanity.com.au exclusive rights to electronic distribution
and sales of their songs. It would appear that the underlying
problem here is the exclusivity of the deal involved. Follow
